If you omit more than one scene, Movie Magic Screenwriter knows enough to combine all of them into one "OMITTED," which is the way it should be done. I guess they figured you might change your mind and want to put the scene back in.įinal Draft handles multiple omitted scenes in a way that breaks the rules. It doesn't actually delete the scene, but hides it. It finally took a call to technical support for me to learn that there's a special "Omit Scene" command in Final Draft. In Final Draft I couldn't get this to work. In Movie Magic Screenwriter, when you delete a scene, its number remains in the margin with the word "OMITTED" next to it. You must lock each page separately, and the revisions don't change the color of the page nor the heading. Final Draft doesn't have an option to lock all the pages. If you lock the pages, each revision page takes on the color of that revision, and automatically identifies the revision in the heading. When you go into production mode with Movie Magic Screenwriter, you can lock the pages and the scenes or just lock the scenes.
